Ichizo Kobayashi, the founder of Hankyu Corporation, produced not only railway business but also many other unique businesses such as land development, Takarazuka Revue, movie house, and theater. He also went into politics and held positions of Minister of Commerce and Industry, and President of the Reconstruction Department. The museum introduces gorgeous track of an entrepreneur, Ichizo Kobayashi who played an active part in various field, through materials, pictures, video images of those days and dioramas. The former residence of Itsuo (his pen name) is also open for exhibition, including his study where he worked over his ideas.

This memorial hall is unique with new concept, where you can enjoy fine dining at Gazoku Sansou - a restaurant with tea ceremony room, garden and residence that Itsuo fully worked out as a tea ceremony master. Gazoku Sansou (residence), Soku-an, Hi-in (tea ceremony rooms), Nagaya-mon (gate) and Hei (wall) are designated Tangible Cultural Properties.
